| The meet-n-greet outdoor picnic I wrote about in my last post is set for this weekend. Unfortunately for me, it's only Tuesday! Argh, I don't think I'm going to make it all the way to Saturday - I'm really that bored. Even Giant Lists has lost its sparkle for me, though I did enjoy their riffing on Dateable Geeks. Dateable geeks? Who knew there were such things? I certainly don't think there are, but then I am very picky and should never be trusted on this matter.
Argh, digression! Anyway, this picnic, should I make it to the day, will be fab. I didn't go with Chinese, but just regular picnic stuff. It's Fourth of July weekend, so people will be down with the cherry pie and snickerdoodles. I also found out that this person search research team will also be having their picnic in the park that day, so maybe I can network with them a bit and find a new way to use my skills. It's never good to be this bored at work, right? I think I need a new job. | | |
| Good news: I think we're finally going to be getting some sun. The last few weeks (while I haven't been writing) have been gloomy as hell. It's depressing. I love the cold and the winter but not when it stretches into June. That's just unacceptable. It's nearly impossible to find people to do fun things with when it's so gray and horrible all anyone wants to do is sit inside and drink tea. But that's all changing now with the sun. I'm going to arrange for a weekend work picnic - a meet n greet type thing. Is it kosher to have a picnic with Chinese food? The place I go to for lunch does pretty awesome deals on pre-ordered take out meals. I should do an office poll before I plan anything. It's always good to do a person search and find out opinions. I'd hate to have this picnic planned and nobody comes because they don't like Chinese food.
There's been tons of gossip going around the office about that Yahoo-Microsoft merger. It's insane! I can't believe how the whole thing has played out. I read this awesome article about more trouble in Yahoo-land that really put the pieces together for me. All the tech talk is tough to decipher, but the bottom line is...I'm glad it's not happening to me! Talk about humiliating. Alright, it's time for lunch. Anyone for Chinese?

| I'm sitting at work now, bored out of my skull, and counting down the minutes until lunch. What should I get today? Chinese? I get that every day. Maybe I will be adventurous and go for something different but I don't think so. There's just something so comforting about noodles and broccoli for lunch every day. Hopefully it will keep me off those diet pills I was talking about last time.
So I was wandering around the web earlier, looking for good links to share. If you're into people search, I suggest you check out Cole's website. It's ace! Also, if you're looking to search people all day, Cole has some great links you could look at. I never get bored with his site.
Another site I never get bored with is GiantLists.com. Every day that site has something new and hilarious to read. Here's a good one: That's what she said! I need to try some of those lines out for myself and see what happens.

| So... I mentioned diet pills in my last post because *I* was secretly thinking about taking some, but then I thought about it some more. I've decided I'm just going to eat less and start taking vitamins. I was looking into taking One A Day, but I think I'm going to actually go with this other stuff called "Damage Control Master Formula." Yeah, I know - pretty sweet name for a vitamin, right? I certainly think so. I also think today has got to be one of the prettiest Wednesdays I have ever seen. I have been inside all morning teaching a friend how to find someone online, but now I think I'm going to go outside and find person to hang out with. I'm actually really craving a little frisbee toss if you can believe that. There's nothing better than being out there on the grass on a nice day laughing and tossing the frisbee back and forth. Oh! Speaking of laughing, check this out: My Job Is Making Me Fat. I can totally relate to poor Jane. She's so funny though, I can't help but laugh at all her posts. :) | | |
| I kinda felt like blogging just to get away from it all this morning,
but I wasn't sure what to write about. Then, I saw my last post and I
smiled. There's no better way to get away from it all than to blog
about something as common (maybe even mundane?) as the weather and the
day of the week. (Oh, and finding people.)
It's finally, slowly becoming spring. The sun is bright, the air is
crisp. It's a nice feeling outside today. Brisk, but nice. Nicer to
sit inside and watch though. (As I sit in front of my laptop and do a person search.) I know I give you a lot of links, but I think this one is especially useful for how to find people. Oh, and here's some good info if you're thinking about hoodia pills.
